Opened to the public in July of 2008, the beautiful 13,000-acre Four Creeks State Forest in Nassau County, Florida gets its name from the fact that it has four creeks within its boundaries, and those four creeks form the head waters of the Nassau River.

Four Creeks State Forest is a great location whether you are an avid outdoors lover, or just looking for a fun place to hike with your family. Located just a short drive from downtown Jacksonville, Florida, the forest is full of spectacular scenery, tall pine trees, birds, and good fishing spots. Visitors can enjoy hiking, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding at Four Creeks State Forest.

Admission to Four Creeks State Forest is free, and the park is open from sunrise to sunset. Although camping is not currently available at Four Creeks, it is said that they plan to offer camping areas and trails in the future, along with other improvements.

The land for Four Creeks State Forest was purchased in 2005 in an effort to conserve and protect the area.
